600 euros gave a great start to 2020 to 4 families who are still recovering from the after-effects of a fire which destroyed their homes and possessions in 2018. After talking to each family we found out the things that would make the biggest difference to each of their situations. As you can see tables and chairs were high on the list!

After receiving over 200 euros in donations we worked with the community organisation to buy, and wrap Christmas presents to give to the young children of Boa Vista.

We donated some money to help continue the treatment for a 15 year old boy on Boa Vista, Cleiton. He has a heart problem and has to travel to Praia every 3 months for tests and treatment. He lives a very full and happy life now, and we hope this continues for a long time. As some point, he will be referred to Portugal, for a heart operation. The money we have donated will be used to pay for an injection that can be given here, on Boa Vista, at the private clinic in Rabil (https://www.facebook.com/esperancaclinicamedica/)

Helping to develop Sport!

We have helped to set up another handball team on Boa Vista. There are now enough teams on the island to enable Boa Vista to complete in the inter-island championship. The new team RBS played their second game this week, winning 28-22, verses Juventude. We hope they go on to win on Boa Vista to complete against teams from other islands.

After receiving over 200 euros in donations we worked with the community organisation Rapaz De Bom Sossego to buy, and wrap, 50 Christmas presents to give to the young children in the North of Boa Vista.

We brought medals and trophies for a summer sports event organised in Sal Rei for the community, by the community.
